WHAT IS UNILEXA?
UNILEXA is a modular exoskeleton platform solution with interchangeable parts that can be configured in various ways to accommodate a wide range of clients. It operates as an entirely passive mechanical system, without actuators, sensors, or autonomous control systems. Instead, it utilizes the body’s natural weight shifts and a unique combination of gravity-driven and elastic mechanisms to assist walking while supporting the user’s body weight. The core system features a unilateral passive exoskeleton with locked knees and feet always level with the ground, providing stable anterior-posterior walking. Additionally, a specialized medial link construction ensures high lateral stability. MEBSTER’s innovative system of interconnected joints ensures more stable and efficient walking.
